We manufactured, export & supply Duplex 2205 pipes in accordance with international ASTM standards Seamless Pipe ASTM A790 UNS S31803 / S32205, Welded pipe ASTM A928 UNS S31803 / S32205 Our UNS S31803 / S32205 Duplex Steel Pipes are stronger and harder as compared to normal steel. However, these UNS S32205 Duplex Steel Pipes are not as challenging to corrosion as stainless steel.

Duplex 2205 Pipe is austenitic-ferritic stainless steel used for corrosive environments and is capable to resist localized corrosion such as pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. The austenitic-ferritic chemical composition results in mechanical properties that are able to cope with high-stress conditions where to use of ordinary austenitic stainless steel will result in mechanical failure.

Beneficial key Properties:-

  • Due to its high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content, Duplex 2205 demonstrates superior corrosion resistant properties to 316 and 316L in most environments
  • Chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content also provide high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, even in oxidizing and acidic solutions
  • Resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking and temperatures of up to about 302°F (150°C)
  • The presence of ferrite provides for good performance of Duplex 2205 in caustic environments
  • Similar to other duplex stainless steels, Duplex 2205 has good oxidation resistance at high temperatures
